Magically enhanced LSD and sensory deprivation. Fun times.

Picked up the LSD from Val. She's worried if I try to look back in time and touch the mind of whoever wrote that document, if it's tied in with The Nothing, then I might go insane, become a loose cannon, and start destroying stuff. I assured her I'm planning to put up some mental shielding--enough to "pull the plug" if need be. And I think the LSD and practice sessions might help cushion any psychic trauma. She's still worried. So am I. But looking back through time ought to be just that--like watching a home movie. Watching it doesn't change what happened. But here's an interesting thing. The Nothing seems to be able to ignore space and the gauntlet, as if there's no separation between spaces. Question: If there's no separation between spaces, is there also no separation in time? If that's the case, if I look back in time into something that's the potential origin of The Nothing, will it be able to look back in time and detect someone watching from the present.

Hmm. Maybe there ought to be a few people present for this. In case The Nothing shows up at my place all pissed off.
Ran into Charlene in Harbor Park. Hadn't seen her in ages. Learned that the Otter pack is basically fallen apart with Cheese Doodle having gone off somewhere and Riley in and out of town. Damn. I was going to get them a 2-night stay and tickets to that indoor water park full of slides over in Grand Mound, Washington. What Otter pack wouldn't have loved that? I guess I waited too long, or it wasn't meant to be. Although it sounds like Charlene is trying to salvage the pack. She was on her way to see a lupus Gnawer called Bad-Boy who lived not too far away from Val's shop.

In the meantime, I've had a few days experimenting with setting up an improvised sensory deprivation bubble in my sanctum. (Layering Forces effects was the tricky part.) Specifically, I've got a sphere set up in the front room that, within it, there's zero gravity, a perfect 92F temp to match skin temp, and 95% sound and light reduction--in case I need to interact with someone outside, and 95% might as well be 100% if the cabin is quiet and I keep my eyes closed. I also used a Mind effect--a calming influence to help those within relax. I've done a few sensory deprivation sessions inside: 30 minutes, 90 minutes, and 180 minutes. It does seem to free the mind substantially. Had to fish LOLcat out of it this morning. Stupid cat.

Today I spent hiking WWNP to harvest tass from the boulder in the Red Talon's territory (done remotely from outside their turf, as Jacinta advised) and I spent most of the afternoon meditating in that U-shaped depression of a node further in the woods.  Was half tempted to make the trip as a cougar, but I don't think I could really pull that off yet. When I get some time, I need to go use some Correspondence to locate a wild cougar, then get inside its head and observe it for a while to get the look and feel of its actions. LOLcat is one hell of a poor substitute.Tonight? A little Matter magic to refine and purify the LSD, followed by a Prime infusion to dial it up to 11. Let's just do this in the upstairs bed, not the sensory dep tank. That might be too much too fast.
