I recently took Briar and Shade on a "vacation" to work some coincidental Correspondence and Forces ritual magic down near Hanford. Specifically, the southern part of that county has been having wildfire problems. Embers from the fires get big air in the updrafts above the fires, and then they can float up to half a mile away, land, and create a new fire. This has been plaguing the West a great deal this summer, but as it's gotten closer, I've just started actually devoting attention to it and thinking about it. Time to step in and intervene. So I drove out to Portland, twisted Briar and Shade's arms (it's what mentors get to do!), and drove them over to Hanford. We found a nice clearing on a neighboring hillside that gave us an excellent view to work from, and I led a Forces-Correspondence ritual that subtly snuffed out airborne embers while the firefighters did their thing. There's not much energy required to snuff out an ember, but we cast that working's effect wide and large--snuffing out thousands and thousands and thousands of embers over the next couple days. All coincidentally. The firefighters finally got things under control. There was something a little off, though. But Briar and Shade were done--and I was exhausted myself. We packed it in and went home.I was back home recovering and relaxing the other night when my phone lit up like crazy. Alexis. Long story short, that crazy Daughter of Ether managed to accidentally create a Time-Correspondence bubble of folded space, trapping herself in it and an angler fish outside--floating in the air. I killed the fish--ended up using my lightsaber from afar after I nearly cooked Alexis's resident AI in her computer system--and countermagicked the spatial-temporal effect until Alexis was freed. I'd gone pretty vulgar as when Alexis called it was an emergency and I pulled out a few of the stops to act immediately. End result is that there's some kind of phantom Force affecting my legs--from the inside--at weird angles. It's like my legs want to go all at weird angles, and there's painful pressure if I try to stand or move. This sucks. But Paradox. Eh. It'll be gone in a few more days so long as I lay off the sauce.

Also, Alexis seems pretty powerful with respect to Time and Correspondence magicks (and Prime). I should go have another talk with her at some point, particularly about the Prime aspect as I'm getting tired of repeatedly spending tass to power effects for this and that all the time.
