Gnawers and fetishes and exploding cubs--oh my!

Saturday evening I finally screwed up the nerve to go knock on the door of that old, defunct library that the Gnawers use as a base of operations. I decided to arm myself with a case of Coke and two large pizzas: can't hurt to put a thumb on the scales, no? Aaron was there, and I got to meet Lefty. She came down from upstairs (private rooms?)--wearing yellow bunny slippers. Seemed to go well, so I cut it short. Sounds like Aaron and Lefty are both in the dark as to what the visions mean, so I feel a little less like a total ignoramus.

Even with the bunny slippers? I think the Gnawers, overall, seem better adjusted/sane/pragmatic than the Walkers. Sad, really.

Monday night I headed to the park to gather some tass from the node, then keep an eye on the place. It looks like that fetish--what a dumb-ass name--is back in the umbra and functioning once again. I wonder if Kuravar was involved in that? It doesn't look like it's messing with the node/tass any. Devon showed up and I was able to confirm with him the dream he'd had. He's camping out at Terminus instead of the safehouse. I get the feeling there may be some bad blood between him and Flint. Flint can be a little frustrating to deal with, and I imagine if I had a short fuse like a garou, I could certainly understand Devon's frustration, I split after Devon departed: there was some crazy homeless girl in the park.

I was headed to Saint Claire's Gun Club to use their shooting range on Tuesday. I ran into this girl I'd met earlier in Athena Library. We got to talking, then Emma and Lefty showed up, then a fight broke out across the street. Looked like a dispute between drug dealers--I'd guess speed or marijuana. One of the guys was with the Green Angels, a motorcycle gang that's new to the area. Emma and Lefty (and Ky--who'd also showed up) went to investigate. I tried to keep Kitty (what she said her name was) from going as well, but she didn't listen. I warned Emma that she was a civilian and... was wrong. Apparently she was a cub that hadn't had her first change yet--and did that day. I didn't have an excellent view of the situation, cheated and used a little magic from across the street, and... there was no need for me to help out. The two guys in the alleyway who'd been fighting were humans, and the garou could handle them easily enough. After the situation defused--the one guy was out cold and the other split down the alleyway--and Kitty'd been subdued, I offered use of Val's bike to get a car. There was some shuffling, and fortunately Val's bike didn't get scratched or wrecked in the process.
