From Washington to Wyoming, on the run.
After the meeting with Salem, I drove for an hour--random patterns--with no signs of anyone coming after me. By then, I'd decided I needed to see if I could talk to Pavel, my mentor, out near the high desert mountains near Boulder, CO. I headed east. Pulled off the road where it crossed over a small creek so I could wash my longcoat and get the vomit out of my car. A little Matter and scrubbing went a long way. The Porsche was nearly out of gas by the time I rolled into Spokane, so I pulled into the industrial and warehouse district. Long story made short, the Porsche went to a chop shop, I pocketed $2,600, and bought a 1985 Chevy Suburban 4x4 (needed to get out to Pavel's place) from the owner, cash in hand. It's lifted, rusted, and has an assortment of problems, but nothing that affects its reliability. Plus I can sleep in it and for 30 days it's legal /and/ unregistered. Booyah.

I drove another hour--don't stay in one spot too long--before I pulled over, topped the Suburban off with gas, then used a Forces effect with some quintessence to make the engine ridiculously efficient. 80 MPG? Sure. Why not. Needed to do that because I've only got $277.83 to my name now. And off again. 4 hours later, pitted in Butte, Montana at a WalMart. Food. Sleeping bag. Backpack. Burner phone. Water. Etc. Down to $198.14.
After loading everything up, I reached out with Correspondence and Mind to alert Ila as to what was up. Didn't have time to tell her everything, so I told her to listen to what spreads out of the garou today. Or go talk to Salem, because I told him everything. Back on the road again.
Passing through Thermopolis, Wyoming (on the east side of Yellowstone), the warding necklace charm went off. Someone tried to track me! It blocked the attempt, but barely. 15 minutes later someone tried to track me again, but the charm stopped that attempt, too. Fuuuuuuuuck. Also? SUCK IT, TECHNOBITCHES!
I decided to use the burner phone to check in with Salem. Told him someone was trying to magically track me (but I blocked them) and that if one of them gets made, they need to expect the same sort of thing. Run and don't stop. Salem told me Val was evacuating stuff from my house. I told him to tell her to make sure she rescued LOLcat. I wanted to talk longer, but only 25 minutes left on the phone.
I changed directions towards Yellowstone, as if I was headed for the huge forest there. I finally found a junction as dusk was starting to settle, went offroad about a quarter mile, and shut it down. I've been keeping myself awake and alert with a Mind rote I developed while in college, but I needed sleep. I crawled into the sleeping bag, meditated, and wove an effect to help me maximize the sleep I got.
