Meeting up with Emma before heading to Seattle
Wed, Jun 2--Quality time after a game of hide and seek
Emma and I had planned to meet up Wed evening at her creeeeepy place in the basement of the Brownstone. I accidentally ran into her around noonish. (Or did I subconsciously will running into her early because I missed her?) I picked her up, headed to the Brownstone, got out, was walking towards the place, when Emma stopped to talk to this woman on a motorbike. She had FURY across the back of her jacket. Turns out it was Kathyrn-Laura (KL)--the ahroun Black Fury. They and Emma seem to have a long history and some mutual respect. Also, I apparently met KL's initial approval when Emma introduced me as her SO. (I guess we're letting that particular cat out of the bag. I'm kind of okay with that, too. I think. I would have been aaaaaages ago if her friends were human and not garou. I still think garou--especially ones I'm not familiar with--put me on edge. That's probably a healthy reaction, though.)
Ghost showed up, across the street and some distance away, and I urged Emma to keep walking on past the Brownstown so as to not give away the location of one of her residences. Ghost knows I'm Walker kin. She might suspect Emma is something other than human. We walked a ways and ended up losing Ghost. I don't think she was following us as we barely even tried evading her--just breaking line of sight to see if she'd follow. I did a gut-check, weighing in my promise to Ghost to not reveal she was a Ronin with my.... I had to tell Emma to level that playing field. I still hated that I had to do that.
We circled through some back alleyways, got Emma in through the back way, and I skipped out to do some work at Terminus prior to leaving town for a week or two. That evening, I went back and met up with Emma. When Thursday rolled around, I was a lot more tired than I thought I'd be before I left town. Fortunately, I was only headed over to Seattle to meet with Raul, a Euthanatos whose tried off and on to recruit me for over a decade now, to see how him and Joey, his Akashic cabal-mate (who once asked me out--awkward!), are doing.

Followed by my trip to Phoenix, Arizona, to meet with Walter (Virtual Adept), who'd pirated a copy of the Navajo-dubbed release of Star Wars Episode IV and showed me how to access the Digital Web.
Followed by my trip to San Francisco to visit with Tyler (Akashic Brother) and a few members of the heavily Cult of Ecstasy chantry there.
