Sunday evening I stopped being Brings-the-Pack, Fauxmonca extraordinaire, and went back to being plain old Nick, world warper extraordinaire. STARVING. Got in the car, headed to the city, and dropped in at Andy's Donuts to grab something fast with sugar and fat. And a coffee. Ramos was there. Flipped a coin. Untainted. I need to be wary about garou who are out on their own; they're much more vulnerable to corruption than those who stick together and look out for one another.

Huh. Maybe you could learn something from your own observation, Nick?

Offered to join Ramos. He agreed, though he seemed a little wary. Nervous. Intimidated? Maybe. We talked. He has a vulture spirit ally of some kind that's useful in alerting him about things. I gave him a burner phone, told him I'd contact the Walkers about him, and see about having one of them clear him. Talk to him. He seems like he might be useful in watching the Park at the very least. We could always use another set of eyes.

Monday I spent largely catching up with Terminus-related work, adjusting stock portfolios--and my own as well. The chaos across the nation created a lot of opportunities for profit.

Tuesday I spent reading and running mathematical simulations of multi-dimension spacial interactions. But after the sun set? I crossed over into the umbra. I'd been tempted to try turning myself invisible and wandering into a glade, but I think I'll save that for when I can do it as a cougar instead of me. No. Instead I stayed in the umbra by my cabin, where I experimented with teleporting objects from one side of the clearing to the other. Rocks. Bigger and bigger rocks. Until I'd eventually worked up to teleporting boulders that were about as big as I am.

Then, after all this practice and after spending a good couple hours ensuring the magick I'd woven was stabile, I teleported myself from one end of the clearing to the other.

Holy crap.

Spent the rest of the night just opening portals to different points in the clearing and beyond to the outskirts of where my umbral property goes--and NOT crossing through them. Teleportation makes me nervous, but if I need it, I'd like to be able to quickly pull it off.
