Bumped into Alicia this morning when I dropped off a bunch of frozen lasagnas at the farmhouse. Alicia'd figured out that Emma and I were an item. We got to talking about the upcoming christmas season, presents (what /am/ I going to get Emma?), family (apparently Reed slept with Alicia's 16 y/o daughter, Andrea). Alicia's having a rough time of it because this is her first christmas she's on her own since she and her husband split. Talk about how kin need space and respect in a relationship with a garou and how it's a very high stress situation because of the dangers the garou faces constantly. How most human marriages fail and, if a garou lives long enough, their marriage would probably be more likely to fail because of all the stress and adversities involved. Take what you can get and enjoy it while it lasts.
Alicia filled me in that, come tomorrow, she and her pack--or this other pack called Blitzkrieg (and all its members) and how they're assassins and Seal Team Six types--would be trying to put some hurt on the Spirals in town that kidnapped that baby in an attempt to get their own baby back. I tried to gently prompt her to not get overconfident/cocky. Hope it sunk in. Seemed to, a little, after we spent a while talking. That or her cock-sure facade crumbled a little from trying to maintain it constantly.
I took a walk in the woods afterwards to unwind and clear my head, then I went back to my cabin to do more research with the crazy texts I was trying to figure out when and where they'd been written so as to touch the author's mind. I finally was able to figure out where and when! I quit, called people up so there'd be some muscle present if things went south, and took a nap to be rested for the main event later that night.
