Work finally made me stir-crazy enough to take some vacation time. I've never been out of the northwestern side of the US, so I flew down to the Bahamas and spent the good part of a week on a chartered nautical tour of the Bermuda Triangle. I was hoping that I might encounter some hint as to the supernatural phenomena that supposedly affects the area: paranormal activity, extraterrestrial beings, or some kind of secret military project that sporadically tampers with the laws of physics.

I was also keeping a discrete "third eye" out for sea monsters, Mauraders, Technocrats, a powerful node or collection of nodes, Atlanteans, paradox spirits.... hell, maybe even a school of were-sharks or were-dolphins if such things even exist.

I was really, really, really hoping to see something out of the ordinary, but I didn't see anything unusual at all. Still, I had a fantastic time relaxing on the beaches and getting in some sailing with a hobie cat. (Boy do I miss my old sailboat, now resting in cinders on the bottom of the Columbia river.) I loved the dancing and drumming and beach fires and rum-based drinks at night. Very primal.

So I'm sore, mildly hung over, sunburned on my feet and ears (forgot to put sunscreen there the first few days!)... and I've got work tomorrow morning. Even though I didn't see anything of note, that was still a refreshing and much needed little adventure.
