Got back into town Sunday. Briefly met with Val in the park before Thomas showed up, which prompted a discussion change. We ended up talking about the upcoming Memorial Day holiday and if the Garou did anything to celebrate. (Apparently nothing special.) There's supposedly a giant metal scorpion thing wandering around WWNP. Fan-fucking-tastic. Phone calls ended the meeting suddenly.
Getting caught up with work consumed me for the past few days, as did eyeballing/studying the cat's-eye talisman. I'm excited to try it out.
Talked with Val tonight and finally got a chance to show her the talisman. I'd normally not have shared such a thing with her, but she did let me eyeball the anti-vampire fetish she has. Seems only fair. The details of the trip, however, I kept to myself. Val seems agreeable to going with me when I use the talisman and suggested using the Glass Walker's territory out in the woods. I think, maybe, I ought to go touch base with Salem about this. Just in case something goes wrong with the talisman or a dangerous spirit shows up.
Val also warned me about Sue using Truth-Sensing gifts on Thomas, and how Thomas got caught on a few fibs and got pissed as a result. Yeesh. I think Salem tried using that gift on me looooong ago before he knew what I am. Wonder if I could persuade him to do it again to see if I can better recognize and thwart it?
