I didn't fall out of the tree while sleeping. Granted, trees are not very comfortable, either. Beds are better.
I made a circular approach and went downwind of my property to see if I could detect the scent of tiger around or about. Or a strange human. Anything, really, that seemed out of place. Nothing. reaching out with Correspondence and Life likewise detected no significant animal masses in the area. The same with peeking into the umbra. Good Lord, I might have pulled this inadvertent act of lunacy off.
I decided I needed a second opinion, and I'd already spent 5 days as a cougar, so I deactivated the talisman after I got back inside my cabin. Shower. SOAP! SHAMPOO! CONDITIONER! Clean clothes. And then....
Magic 8-ball question: Is Karuvar after me?
Response: CANNOT PREDICT NOW
45 minutes later I had LOLcat and all my books and essentials packed into the Winnebago, set the security system up to email me pictures of anything that triggered a motion sensor camera, and was on the road.
Where to? Definitely not to Elizabeth's house, as there was no way I was going to involve Emma's mother and daughter in this situation. Tenement? Nope. The Suits and we're staying clear of that place for the time being. WWNP campground? Yeah. That's a long ways from my cabin. No link between those two things. Sounds good to me. I'll text Emma a warning to steer clear of the cabin for a while. Let Mouse and Salem and Val know where I relocated to temporarily.
This sucks.
Plus side? I've got veggie kebobs to grill for dinner, not yet another cheese pizza.
