The other week, I called up Alexis with a ruse of going to a book store. An excuse to get her outside of the wards she had at her place and hopefully with her being unarmed. Long story short, I told her I was a mage and she did likewise, although she considers herself to be a scientist--some kind of Etherite quirk, I imagine. She showed off her jacket, which used advanced composite materials. She's much better at Matter than I am. And perhaps on par with me with Correspondence magick. She'd repurposed the GPS phone pendant I'd made, but seemed surprised when I told her the pendant was just decorative and not actually functional. Weird. But I've not really all that familiar with the Sons/Daughters of Ether. The meeting went fairly well. I'm keeping what she is a secret as she doesn't feel comfortable coming out to Mouse. We'll see how things develop from here.

Spent a couple days at the caern during the new moon. Ran into Slug. We talked about the documents he'd dropped off earlier. Turns out they're mostly just his theories as opposed to new information that's actionable. I think I managed to impress upon Slug that he (and the garou) tend to think in two dimensions: realm and umbra. They ignore that there's a multiverse because they can't see it. They can only think and theorize about it. Slug, I think, is one of the few garou who is likely to actually grasp that concept.

Silvertip came along. Slug and she got into a verbal squabble. I tried placating Slug and alerting Silvertip to the value Slug provided to the sept, and Slug said there was no need to placate him. I suspect it's easier trying to placate the garou than smacking some sense into their collective heads.

As an aside, if I were born a garou, I'd have been an ahroun. Or, as Silvertip said, I'd have been born on a different moon phase.

Silvertip came by the cabin later. I gave her the quickie fill-in as to what all was up. We hatched a plan for me to analyze the glyphs' temporal-shifting patterns, predict where to erase a critical one that'd have to be replaced, and then set up an ambush for whoever--or whatever--turned up to rework the glyph. I'm to be the wheelman driving the white cargo van. Silvertip is going to see about getting her pack--another Uktena, a Wendigo, and a Red Talon--to ride along for this snatch and grab operation.

A mage, two Uktena, a Wendigo, and a Red talon all climb into a van. Sounds like the start of a joke. What could possibly go wrong?
