Emma showed up late for parkour practice in the park. She said she'd spent a lot of time thinking about how she fit in--and if she even fit in at all since coming back from her stay down in the Amazon. Sounds like she's having personal problems. I'd been doing a handstand when she arrived, which had exposed my ankle holster (oops!) to her. After asking about it, she asked if I'd teach her how to shoot a pistol. Not long after, we were at an indoor shooting range and renting a lane and various pistols. She did pretty good. A little nervous. (Weird. I'd have thought all garou got trained with guns. Except maybe the rural country bumpkins. Emma doesn't strike me as a rural country bumpkin, but.... she was down in the Amazon for a number of years. Who knows?) At one point, I was in close with her showing her how to use the pistol's sites and I got sort of a vibe off of her. I don't know if she /like/ likes me or if it was just the adrenaline rush of shooting a gun for the first time.
Met up with Val in the park later. We got to talking about Plasticorp. Val'd had a talk with Rajani, but it sounded like the fox and the groo hadn't done any poking about. I can certainly understand why: they've got their paws pretty full with all the shit going on out near their caern. Val said she was going to go scout around and see what she could find, then describe how she might do more than just a fly-by--instead trying to go in through a window or even heading over to the flip side. This does not seem like a wise thing to do on one's own, so I offered to provide overwatch from afar. She seemed thrilled about that. I suspect she's a little worried about what she might be getting herself into, too. But.... she knows her capabilities more than I do. So here's hoping.
While talking with Val, Mouse managed to butt-dial me.It was a short but weird convo. Sounded like she was high, drunk, or injured maybe? No idea. But she said she was okay. Weird.
After the call, Val headed off and left me with a very large and very mangy dog that only had three legs. It'd been digging in the trash and emerged with a pair of glasses and started messing with them. It looked a little wolfish, so I scanned it... Garou! It started acting a little different afterwards, as if it'd sensed me. Or maybe thay's my imagination? Whichever it was, it finally moved on. Whew.
