Tuesday I ran into Emma in the park. Man, it has been a long time since I'd seen her, but it's also been a while since I had all the free time to hang out in the park, too. Between defending the chantry down in San Fran from Nephandi, dealing with Plasticorp and the BSDs, getting a feel for pretending to pass as a kinfolk, learning more about garou customs and culture, work, and preparing the houseboat for sale.... Swamped. Anyway, Emma and a group of her friends (I wonder if these are garou?) are talking about doing some urban revitalization in the industrial area of town. Artwork and such. I suggested she for a 501(c) non-profit organization so she could apply for grant funding and donations to the cause from businesses and people would be tax deductable. She looked at me like I was an alien. A brilliant alien, though. And offered me a part-time job with little or no pay. Uhm? Yay? Still, I might help them out a bit in my free time because that sounds like a good project and, hey, maybe it might work.
Thursday I ran into Karuvar in the park. I think he'd been talking with Nieve, but couldn't be sure. She seemed in a good mood, though. I had just enough time to let him know I knew he was a tiger-shifter and that I was kin to the Walkers and that Val and Mouse said he was an okay guy, then my phone rang with a business call. Damn. I was hoping to get a feel for where the cats fell in all this shapeshifting cultural gumbo.
Finally picked up my copy of Kinect: Star Wars. Can't wait to play it! I'm hoping I might get some ideas for using Forces or Mind magick from it, or possibly some other insights.
