Long story short, I used some magic to figure out where to find the evidence needed to burn the vice cops that were rolling dealers, taking their drugs, and reselling the wares to another dealer. It's enough to burn them all, and it's been turned over to internal affairs. Case fucking closed.
Except now I'm seeing a motive beyond greed for one of these five cops involved. His three year old son is dying because the police health insurance doesn't cover the operation he needs. I can't do anything to help--they need like a million bucks. I feel like the world's biggest asshole: like I just hammered one more nail into a kid's coffin.
What's worse? Back when I was 16 or 17 and there'd been a huge drug bust in Saint Clair that sent the cost of hard drugs skyrocketing, I did a drug run from LA to Saint Claire to pick up some quick scratch. I've been in these guys' shoes before. Except I wasn't a cop supposed to be upholding the law and abusing my power/authority as a law officer....
... Nope. Still doesn't make me feel like less of an ass. Shit.

I need to wait a little longer before leaving so as to not draw suspicion, then I'm out of here and back to Saint Clair. I need to leave this whole mess behind me--and collect my 30 pieces of silver from Internal Affairs. This is the last time I do anything like this.
