Mon morning I went to the farmhouse and was nearly greet-attacked by a wolf. Turns out it was Kitty, having fun in lupus, and perhaps not thinking that a kinfolk might be spooked by a charging wolf. Starcaller was there, too. We went inside, chatted a bit, then Thomas showed up. Kitty's clearly not been told about how the garou used to routinely cull humans, and she's also not been told how she's a weapon. I alerted her to the latter, but someone else can fill her in on the former.

The rest of the day I spent working on a revised stock portfolio for Terminus. I also tweaked my own portfolio so I can see a modest 15% bump over the next week--a little extra scratch for a downpayment on that cabin property. Called up the fumigation company: the tents stay up for 3 days, so I got to call it a night early.

Tuesday morning I got the incorporation documents back from Delaware. VisionAire is now a legal entity! I finished duplicating a half dozen more magnetic signs that replicate local businesses. Scheduled an appointment to look at a van Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon I popped over to Terminus to meet with HR and ran into Nieve and Devon. Devon had, like, blue scales for skin. Apparently something attacked him, off-bawn (but related to the brambles), and mutated him. Here's hoping that it's temporary, because he can't go out in public like that.

I had an interesting chat with Nieve. She'd helped Karuvar repair a broken fetish that belonged to the bastet, and they'd loaned it to her for a few weeks. Apparently the garou can use bastet fetishes (and presumably vice versa), but the spirit inside this particular artifact is a little uncooperative when the garou tend to use it--yielding sometimes unexpected results. I don't think I can activate one of their fetishes with my meager knowledge of Spirit and Prime, but I'd certainly like to give it a try or at least get a feel for how it might be possible. I'm guessing that the garou might have similar--or greater--problems activating a talisman.

I also discussed Karuvar and the were-tigers with Nieve. She seems to think that Karuvar is fairly on the up-and-up. She also claims that the were-tigers tend to be fairly prideful and vain, but that there are exceptions to the rule--just as there are with the garou. They have to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Nieve, I'm finding, seems to be rather wise--for a garou. Theurges seem to have a predisposition for that kind of thing.

Tuesday night I decided to go to my sanctum and do a little experimenting. A couple weeks ago I was watching this TV show, Alphas, which is basically a superheroes thing. One character is autistic and can see digital communications. I've done that and a bit more--tapping cell phones, accessing a computer remotely, slicing in to security camera feeds, etc.--in my much younger days. This time, however, I opened my perceptions (Forces and Mind) up to all the electromagnetic signals zipping through the room and--wow--talk about overload. After filtering out the numerous bandwidths I wasn't interested in, I reached out with my hands and began tweaking the existing electromagnetic spectrum. I was able to replicate using my Kindle to access the internet--but without actually using a device. I even sent a printout to the printer--an strangely bizarre and colorful blur of patterns: my own thoughts translated into ink. Almost an artistic kind of MRI scan. Accessing data is not that hard. It does take time and focus to emulate devices and observe feeds, though. And there's only so much data that can be processed at one time--even with magic. I pulled security feeds from three security cameras simultaneously, but that was pretty much all I could handle. Watch a whole city? Hell no. Tapping the 'net feels a lot like flying. But violent, turbulent flying, as if reality is composed of nothing but hard right angles instead of smooth curves.
