I just woke up about 15 minutes ago. My bed and covers were on fire. Literally. My clothes were pretty much ash. I'd been snoozing in the middle of it, comfortable as a phoenix in a nest of flames. I have no idea how long I'd been on fire, but I dozed off about two hours ago. Could have been seconds, could have been the whole time.
Fortunately the sanctum is largely marble and non-flammable. And I keep some extra clothes here. The whole place smells of smoke and.... something else I can't quite define.
My body temp normally runs about 102-104F. The thermometer is just reading "Error" now, but I feel fine. That's a little scary: I hope it's not permanent. (I'm not feeling as "backed up" as I was earlier. Please just be a temporary paradox backlash. Please.)
I can't fucking remember what I was dreaming about, but it was important and slipped from my grasp in the abruptness and circumstances of waking. Dammit. I don't know if I subconsciously used Forces while dreaming or if this was backlash or a resonant "wave" from the wasp venom or god-knows what else.
I guess I'll be sitting in the middle of the pentagram engraved into the giant marble slab in the center of the room for the rest of the night--just to be safe. Sleep? I'm guessing "no."
Lucky I wasn't in my cabin: that'd have probably burned to the ground.
