Yesterday I met up with Mouse out behind the farmhouse to relay my tablet-related findings to her. She seemed irritated at Samantha for having, in her opinion, provoked Howard Smith into shooting both Samantha and Val. I concurred that that might have been the case, but there was also no way to determine if Smith's intentions were peaceful. What I didn't tell Mouse? The last thing you want to give a mage is time and information. If they're going to fuck you over, you just made their life damn easy and your life a hell of a lot shorter. We discussed bringing this information to Jacinta, who Samantha had informed about current events. I suspect Jacinta'd like the additional information. Also? It seems like a good time to mention the nodes in the woods again--minus the caern. If I could get to them and mark them, respectful mages will not mess with them. So anyone who's caught messing with them.... It's a shame I'm not more talented. I might be able to use a node to power an effect that hides it from prying eyes. Or makes it difficult for someone to touch the places of power if they have malicious intentions. Mouse seems to think Jacinta will turn the offer down. However, Mouse thinks it might be a good idea for me to quietly put a mark on the glade in Harbor Park--and Mouse and I won't tell anyone about it.

Around about this time, Emma turned up, Mouse split (after an offer to play video games or whatever--she said she's good even on a full moon, which is good to know), Val turned up with Bartok (her raven buddy who I like MUCH better than that nasty Stormcrow spirit she hands out with), and then Ex turned up. I promptly left. Ex wigs me out.

After work, I swung by the farmhouse again on the off chance Emma might be there. (One track mind much, Nick?) Nope. But Javid was. He spouted off some nonsense about when garou die the glory eclipses the sun. Wow. Someone brainwashed him pretty damn hard. That or he bought into that shit hook, line, and sinker. Unbelievable. Rhys turned up as I was finishing doing some cleaning in the kitchen. Then Ex came down from upstairs. (Shit. I'd taken a nap up there earlier this week. By myself.) She and Rhys had a mildly strained interaction, with Ex causing pretty much all of the tension. But... She's gotten better. Not "all done" better, but.... More stable. She still looks like she's a second away from snapping, but that's about a second more of warning than she had before. And she doesn't want to be the way she is. I was half tempted to go give her a hug, but I squashed that urge flat before it got me killed. Javid left, then Rhys said he was headed out. I quickly offered Rhys a ride so I wouldn't have to be alone with Ex.

Long day. After I dropped Rhys off at the safehouse, I headed back to my cabin and just crashed. Exhausted.
