I finally shook the voices in my head LATE Thursday night. Slept like the dead until noon the next day. Plus side? I got a lot of work done for Terminus (and taxes for my PI firm and myself) during that DEARGODDON'TSLEEP time. Cheated on doing my taxes by Dreaming--tapping in to what humanity knows about tax filings. Thaaaaat worked quite well. Found myself a few thousand dollars I'd have likely otherwise overlooked. Paradox seems to have mostly worked itself out of my system, so I can go out in public now without fear of being burned at a stake. Still a bit prone to retaining/discharging static electricity, but it's far less overt/obvious now.

Friday night I popper out for a grocery run--fresh vegetables and fruits would be nice after being cooped up for nearly a week, forced to eat frozen dinners, canned soups, and mac n cheese. The staples I keep on hand just in case what just happened happens. Before hitting the store, I dropped by Thomas's houseboat to check on him--check him for taint. He's clean. Silvertip was there, sleeping (briefly) in the back bedroom. Thomas has some sort of big black dog living with him now. Except it's not a normal dog. Reeks of Spirit. He was a bit tight-lipped when I asked questions about what it was, so he's either being secretive/elusive or he doesn't even know for sure. Dropped of a thing of whiskey for the fox, then headed off to do some shopping before the store closed.

After I got back and put the groceries up, I crossed over to the umbra. Pushing it a little bit here because the moon was just a hair over the halfway mark. Earlier I'd been experimenting with Correspondence by linking two close-together points, then pushing a stick through point A, having it stick out of Point B, and then insert back into point A, which caused it to come out point B. So, basically, a straight stick that wrapped around on itself. I did the opposite today. Point A opened northwards. Point B opened southwards. A and B were three feet apart. Once I got the two points stabilized, I stood between then (in the "dead zone"), reached around, and stuck a stick through A. It came out B. Ta da! Magic trick! Stick-through-the-mage! Enough goofing around. This time I opened a small plane-shape portal (A) with the other same-shaped portal (B) inside the same space but oriented at a right angle. Basically a + shape. That? That was interesting. As soon as I created them, the planes warped significantly, uncontrollably, and then the magical effect collapsed with a simultaneous popping/sucking sort of sound that was rather loud. I think I just did the equivalent of dividing by zero. Back to the books with that one, I think.

The rest of the night I spent trying to thin the gauntlet near my place. After three hours of work, I managed to get it pretty low. (Because what happens if you get the gauntlet so low in an area that it's effectively not there? Do the physical world and spiritual world touch and allow passage in and out? Or is there a thin membrane that prevent things from passing from one realm to the next? Can you look through like a porthole? Wouldn't THAT make for an awesome window in the cabin if I fueled it with some Prime? My own little spirit world fish tank.) But I didn't get it where it needed to be. And I was tired and the sun would be coming up soon. Plus? I seemed to be attracting the attention of all the nearby woodland creature spirits. (One of the squirrel spirits was REALLY interested--annoyingly so.) And then a couple pattern spiders showed up and got into a fight with the local spirits and... I just quit and called it a night, dropping the effect and crossing over. Too many distractions and the danger level seemed to be ramping up with those squabbles.
