On Tuesday, I dropped off a bunch of cans of chili for the Edgewood groo-crew. Slug and Riley were there. Slug brought up challenging for adren rank, which I found to be an interesting discussion about the leadership needs of that particular rank, and how that trumped things like intellect. Riley smacked Slug upside the head a few times. Riley is a big fan of hitting. I don't like people hitting people. Maybe I just need to learn to hold garou to lower standards of civilized behavior? It's all so 3rd Grade Recess, though.

X and Rhys turned up while Riley went inside to try and salvage a sweater that'd been marked on. (There's a fox spirit running about--going by the name of Springheel--who seems to have saved Slug when he was fleeing from the Suits and he tried escaping through the sewers. The Suits got held up by a giant snake and Slug got an arm bitten off by a crocodile. Note to self: Don't ever go in the sewers. Not that I would to begin with (gross).) Slug and I were talking about the Suits. I was trying to figure out their motive, and when X showed up, it clicked that there were fliers of her posted around town that popped up shortly after the Suits showed up. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. I showed a picture of the flier to X after she said she hadn't been in town in a while. She started getting a little wiggy. I moved away. Slug talked about a plan (1) waiting until the Suits' vehicle was parked outside the police station, (2) calling in a tip about having seen X at some location in town, and (3) waiting to see if the Suits responded to that call. If so, then the Suits are likely connected with X. If not, the Suits are not connected with X. I also suggested getting a garou to Dreamwalk the Suits, but I think that got dismissed. (I might have to do that myself on the sly.) Slug pressed X for more information about the "Doctors" (as X called them)--and then verbally pushed her. She pulled a gun on him. I rolled over the porch railing, landed on the grass down below (parkour!), and took off around the house and to my car. Zoom! Out of there. I remember seeing at least one crinos in the rearview mirror. Shit. Never heard a gunshot, so that's a plus.

I came back later in the evening to see what had happened. Ran into Ciuraq instead. Confirmed she hadn't cursed Riley. I don't think she got the subtle context of a warper, affiliated with the Glass Walkers, asking if she'd laid a curse on a fellow Glass Walker. Although perhaps that's really for the best. (Hitting, Nick. Hitting.) Ciuraq is clearly still pissed at Riley, but she seems to have it under control.

Lynn, a new-to-town Uktena kinfolk, turned up then with homemade lasagna. We introduced ourselves. She's a Lieutenant at the SCPD once the paperwork goes through. Ciuraq seemed thrilled to have her. Frankly, the sept ought to be happy about that.

Slug then turned up, distinctly lacking in new holes and in a cheery mood, and tried to convert us all to the religion of Springheel the Fox Spirit. (Pass.) He used some sort of Mind-Spirit magic effect that I managed to detect and, I think, block. I have no idea why he did it. That sort of thing is so annoying.

As I was headed out the door, Ciuraq asked if she could pay me a visit soon. I said sure, after sundown.

Three SCUBA tanks: returned.

Three 20lb propane tanks: acquired. I'll bury those in different spots around the property today. I don't exactly feel safe with them in or around the house. Oh, hey. And there's two 20lb tanks already in the Winnebago. Wow, I must need some sleep. Sleep after the digging, Nick.
