I've finally gotten moved out of the cabin and cleaned it up this past weekend. Should get most of the deposit back, save for about $500 to patch the hole I accidentally put in the wall downstairs with a bookcase. In the process, I also got rid of most of my stuff. An exercise in materialistic purging. But necessary because there's really very, very, very little room in the houseboat. I even had to store my motorbike at a friend's house because I've nowhere to put it.

I'm still at a loss as for how to handle the officer in the SCPD that appears to be.... "other." I don't want to alert the garou of him, because they'll probably just kill him. But I can't fathom approaching him myself either because.... "Hi, I noticed that there's something magical about you. No, no. Not in a gay way. See, I'm a wizard and...." Insanity. And I have no idea what this man knows or doesn't know. Frustrating. I need to think about this some more before I act.

Speaking of, the houseboat has actually opened up a new opportunity. The weekend before last, I took it to a secluded cove to drop anchor and, that night, donned a life jacket and did a quick flight around the boat a few times. It wasn't particularly graceful, but I did manage to go where I wanted and make it back to the roof of the boat without going for a swim. Again, I think the problem is that the human body is very flexible and with a constantly shifting center of gravity that makes things complex and dynamic. Gracefulness.... might take a while.
