Yesterday I slipped into the city, harvested the tass from the Osprey Circle node and the Harbor Park node, and then went back home. No lingering in the city. It felt good--really good--to have those 5 lucky pennies in my wallet once again.
I called Emma up to let her know I was back in town, eyeball deep in Something Else (Silvertip's dream-thief) that I couldn't really talk to her about, and.... You know, it just felt good to know she was within 20 miles of me, even if I still couldn't see her. Stupid-ass uncooperative moon.
I swung by the Farmhouse and ran into Slug. He'd joined the chimera pack along with Emma (under Salem), but Slug didn't think Chimera liked him. I told him Chimera sounded like a good spirit to follow, especially for a garou who--to me at least--seemed smarter than the average garou. And if it didn't work out? There's plenty of fish in the sea and spirits in the umbra. He seemed to think this was all good advice. I also asked him about Dreamwalking. He claimed he didn't know anything about it. Judging by his self-proclaimed unfamiliarity with the umbra, spirits, and rites, I kind of have to believe him on that one. I crossed him off my list as the primary suspect, then texted Salem to not follow through on my earlier recommendation of tossing Slug's room while he was out. (Salem asked why, but I realized there was no way to explain without outting Silvertip's secret. That left only a few suspects. One of which (Val--who is nosy and I could totally see trying to dreamwalking Silvertip in an attempt at "helping" and seeing more than she bargained for) had just left word that she was leaving town for a while. I called her up and left her a vaguely worded voicemail and a caution to get cleansed if it was her.
Later, Emma dropped by after some kind of workout. We got caught wrapped in each other's arms by a Bone Gnawer, Quoz. Grrrreeeaaaaat. Hopefully he's quiet about that. We were trying to avoid having to deal with external pressures/influences from other garou. Knock on wood that nothing happens. Then Ky dropped by. He apparently had done something bad and was trying to apologize to Emma for it. She had to leave to deal with it. I was winding down pretty hard at the time and, frankly, was not about to grab a bunk upstairs--certainly not during a fuller moon in a house of werewolves. I went home and called it a night.
