A second meeting with the Portland Hollowers cabal

Thurs, July 16--Meeting up with the Hollowers again

I spent most of the day going over the trap I'd laid out the night before. It looked fairly sound. Not terribly strong, but it'll do what it needs to do.

That evening, after a long nap, I met up again with Shade, Briar, and Vlad at a local restaurant. (Fortunately there were vegetarian options, and the meal wasn't terrible.) We'd secured a nice, secluded spot in the corner and the trio seemed to have some sway with the people running the place, so no one was ever seated anywhere near us. (They left one hell of a tip as we left.) Most of the time was spent talking shop and technique. We all seem to have a lot of overlap (Orphans!), but I lean much more towards Star Wars while the Hollowers leaned towards modifying rituals and spells from a variety of arcane and historic sources. (Sounds like they have themselves a shared library like Nightfall Chantry used to, back before the group fell apart and then the building burned down.) All in all, a productive meeting. And we seem to be getting along. The initial reservations I had seem to be eroding.

That night? That night back at the hotel did not go so well....
