I pulled myself out of bed when the laptop chimed, sometime after the sun had set, indicating it had made a topographic match between the dream's landscape and someplace along the Columbia River. Black dot marks the spot, which is south-east of here, in a forest, and not far from the Hanford site.

I pulled out my Magic 8-Ball and asked if it "Would it be a good idea to go exploring this area by myself?"

If I'm going to go sounding underground in that area, playing "I cheat at archaeological digs" by looking through the ground to see what's underneath, I'm going to need an escort. And it's probably best to let the garou go in first with me waaaay off in the distance, offering support and defense if need be.
My default thinking still seems to be support/defense instead of kill. That's reassuring, but had me crying again in short order. In the end, I used a Mind effect to shove thoughts about what I'd done earlier today aside. Deal with emotions later; deal with this new information now. I swung by Edgewood on the off chance of locating Jacinta, Silvertip, Salem, Emma, or Riley. Nope. Instead, it was Slug, who was pouring over EPA reports and a large area map. I surmised he was also looking for the Find Me woman. I pointed it out on the map for him. When I was asked how I knew, I told him I'd done how I'd done it--leaving out all the magic parts and keeping only the coincidental aspects. Both he and Quoz both bought it.
Slug seems to know more about the creatures I saw. Things that scare Wyld, Weaver, and Wyrm alike. And there was speculation that maybe they were eating things at Hanford? But perhaps that is a good thing, them eating the nuclear waste? Maybe the Spirals found a way to kick them out and now they're roaming around and.... they need to be led back to where they were. Just... wild speculation. I'll have to chat with Slug about this some other time. He seemed to get into a mood all of a sudden and stormed off.
Alexis showed up right as I was getting ready to leave and she had some interesting ideas once I prompted her to talk about anti-matter, or dark matter as she called it. She mentioned how they were "fat" particles, affected by gravity and perhaps a few unknown forces. I bet they are. I know that mages--Masters who have slightly more skill over magic and slightly more knowledge of Forces than I do--can exert control over nuclear energies or even create nuclear explosions. Scary shit, but I might need to poke about with some Forces and see what things affect dark matter. Unconventional Forces.
I emailed Emma, Salem, and Riley with my findings and suggested tagging along in a future trip. We'll see what comes of that. Ugh. I want to see Emma, but I'm an absolute emotional train wreck right now.
